Design thinking – promise or hype?

Participation professionals have a complex field of work and struggle with many questions:

• Are current transition processes sufficiently inclusive and participatory?
• Shouldn’t the living world be more central?
• What tools and forms of work can involve a wider range of citizens?

We looked at what design thinking can do for these participation professionals. We discuss the development of design thinking over the years, its principles, models and inspiring case studies.
